Sustainable business development project

Hi, my name is Jon Davey and the role of Social Media Director, as I see it, doesn't stop at creating a Twitter account or sending out a bunch of emails. It brings together online marketing with business lead generation and ultimately landing the sale which converts into pound notes.

The internet offers us three opportunities: education, entertainment & business.

I have spent most of my working life in sales, be that for a corporate or running my own business and I have been most successful when dedicated to a single mission.

I am currently looking for a Sustainable Business Development project where I can help an organisation flourish. Applying my online and offline social media, online marketing & business development skills to increase awareness and more crucially, generate actual sales for an organisation. BUT, not just any organisation, I need to represent an organisation that is not simply focussed on profit today. They need to demonstrate a genuine concern about the environmental conditions for our children and their children’s children.

Currently, according to the world's No 1 search engine, Jon Davey is, depending on your global location and which way the wind is blowing, the No.1 Social Media Director in the UK today ... and because Google says so, it must be so!

Please read a summary of my experience to date and connect me ASAP before I have made a commitment to another great organisation!

Thank you.

Jon Davey

I am looking for a role where I can make the most of the skills I have learned over the last 20 years. The first 10 in sales roles for a variety of companies working in FMCG, professional, corporate, public sector and small businesses with sales cycles from 2 minutes to 2 years. The last 10 years I have been self employed in the online marketing space creating websites, email marketing campaigns and recently building and educating business men and women in regards to social media and making the most of the potential opportunities.

Creation of my first online community Business in Berkshire in 2002 led to me becoming chair of the local branch of the Federation of Small Businesses for 5 years, a seat on Berkshire’s Business Link Advisory Board and in 2007 I was nominated and won a Creative Business Champion Award by Slough Council for my work with creative start up businesses.

Having spent many years helping small and medium businesses to launch and establish their presence on the internet, I have become increasingly aware of the need to explore and use a wide range of technologies to make a positive impact on business and the environment.

I am keen to use my knowledge and expertise proactively to help transform our environment into a cleaner, greener and more prosperous place to live! I am a positive and enthusiastic individual who would like to work for organisation that addresses the need to move towards a low-carbon economy and are looking for a business development manager to find opportunities to help other organisations achieve this goal.
