Sarah from Verbatim Call Centres asked me to clarify what is on offer ... so I thought I would do that at the start of the article and then you can enjoy the story of how we got here ... We are in the online marketing business ... our most recent evolution is Business Leads UK , a social media space for business men and women. We're always thinking of new ways to promote businesses. Currently there is a lot of talk about Football stadiums being renamed by sponsors ... so I figured why not offer our shed up for sponsorship. Football stadiums are visited by thousands of fans every month ... we get around 100,000 visitors to our various websites every month ... so sponsor us and we'll carry your brand on every one of the web pages that we own for 1 year. We are taking bids via Ebay ... make your BID NOW!!! 
How did we get here... I recently noticed a post on our Business Leads UK social networking website about Newcastle United entitled “Newcastle United fans bridle at stadium naming rights deal” ... I wasn’t sure what bridle meant in this sense but the Newcastle United bit grab my attention. Mike Ashley was renaming the stadium sportsdirect.com @ St James’ Park Stadium ! I could understand the initial anger of the fans but then he has put the brass into the club and so why not ... it’s not like the real fans will call it that anyway ... it’ll just be part of any TV deals, etc I guess. I’ve been a Newcastle fan since I went to college there back in the 80’s and love the town and the people, they’re always up beat and ready to welcome any new faces with a smile ... unlike down at Old Trafford where it all felt very tense when I took my 8 year old along for the opening game of the 8-9 season, Man U v Newcastle, never again ! Any road, all the clubs are at it, Chelsea is looking to rename Stamford Bridge for £10m and Liverpool are looking for a cool £250m !! On Saturday Charlie and I went to buy him some new boots, shin pads and leggings... £40 later I smiled at Charlie, a Chelsea fan, and thanked him for supporting Newcastle United’s new player fund! 
It got me thinking ... business is very slow for most businesses ... if people are employed implementing European Law then they have a job for live and a very profitable career ahead ... if they are actually making something or trying to encourage others to spend marketing pounds then they have a fight on their hands. In the old days football clubs would have a shed end, the end with a bit of cover for the fans ... today the fans don’t know their born with these huge stadiums ! 
I’m always referring to my office as The Shed as it is at the end of my garden and a place I love to hang out ... businesses is slower than previous years and so the taxman’s fund is looking at little lower than it would do at this time of year. We’d like to be in business next year to help boost the UK economy with our inventive ideas and so it was time to come up with one ... The football clubs are looking for sponsorship based on the number of people who watch their matches ... not sure what the average attendance is but it will be around 25,000 people a week visiting the club and taking in the atmosphere ... if we do the same across all football leagues in the UK then the number is likely to be less than 50. This is similar to our world of the Internet. Last month October 09 our main website Business in Berkshire .co.uk got around 70,000 visitors to 330,000 pages every month ... most websites will probably get less than 50 visitors !! Business in Berkshire I intend to create a list of all the sites we have and all the number of visitors to each according to the webalizer software that sits on our server as standard and will display a link here for all to see. Shed Sponsor Needed We are looking for a Shed Sponsor for the 2010 season ... we have many websites which generate thousands of unique visitors every month and we are willing to add a picture of the plaque on our shed, with your company name, logo and strap line to every single page of our sites ... naturally the image would link to a web page of your choosing. We’re not greedy, £250,000,000 is a little ambitious ... a figure nearer £25,000 would be most acceptable and would ensure the tax man is happy for another year and we have a fund to get 2010 off to a great start. We figured the best way to do this would be via ebaY.co.uk as they have the best toolkit for auctioning stuff and also a great network of businesses around the world ... one of those my well recognise the potential of thousands of links coming right back at them and say yeah, that’s easy worth £25k, I hope no-one out bids me !!
