Our web page header simply includes the title and a slogan, stating what we do.
The web page title is tailored towards the search engines, the slogan should then give clarity on what the website is about. If someone has been looking for an answer to a question via a search engine then they want an answer, not lots of flashing lights and groovy design... just answer the question! By having a clear title and slogan as the header means that whatever the screen size, the visitor can clearly get a measure of if they are in the right place and also then start reading the information they were looking for sooner rather than later. With the average visitor spending less than ½ a second on your page, you need to create clarity and get to the point so they stay for 5 seconds, then 50 and so on... |
