The web page title is the single most important ingredient on the web page.
From both a search engine and human point of view it is the first thing they see and will determine the next step. If the web page title doesn’t read properly then the human eye will miss it and so not click. The search engine will index the page around the title and if no-one is searching for that string, what’s the point, every which way you are invisible to potential visitors to that web page. I have given this page the title of web page title and in a few days, may be weeks, it will be indexed for web page title by the major search engines. If this site proves popular and people click in this page then it will go up value to the search engines and appear higher up the indexing... and since page 1 is the only place it is at, then the more visitors the better. For the main home page of this site I want people who have been told to talk to Jon Davey to find me and so have used Jon Davey in the title. I have also used the phrase NEW Business Generator as this is a title I want for myself. To me there is little point in business websites unless they are finding you new people with whom to do business. Logical to me and hopefully to you, so by using Jon Davey ~ NEW Business Generator in the title we should bump into those looking for a NEW business generator! Go Google and see what you find... we should be there or thereabouts! |
